THE EXTRAORDINARY SUBSIDY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT (SED)
This new aid (Extraordinary Unemployment Subsidy), can only be requested by those long-term unemployed who meet the following requirements:
- have family responsibilities(spouse or dependent children under 26)
- no income. In the Extraordinary Subsidy for unemployment, the double requirement of lack of income is required, so that the applicant must not have their own income that exceeds 723,75 euros per month, nor must the average income per member of their family unit exceed said amount.
- Not having previously received help from the PAE (Employment Activation Program)
- And that they are also in one of these two situations (aob):
- a) Having exhausted an ordinary unemployment subsidy(family assistance, insufficient contribution, etc), in which case they must request the extraordinary subsidy within 15 days following the exhaustion of ordinary subsidies.
- b) Be long-term unemployed, registered as unemployed on May 1, 2018 and who at some point in their working life have exhausted any of these unemployment benefits: contributory benefit, unemployment subsidies, RAI Active Insertion Income, PREPARA Plan or the old PRODI. In this case, there is no time limit to apply for the Extraordinary Unemployment Subsidy.
How much is charged in the Extraordinary Unemployment Subsidy?
The SED is a non-renewable subsidy of 451 euros per month for six months.
If you find yourself within these assumptions, you have the right to request the Active Insertion Income
